Yes. You can cancel a sod order up to 72 hours before your scheduled delivery or appointment, and canceling carries a $100 processing fee. Your refund goes back to the payment method you used at checkout. Call 1-866-886-2763 or email info@usasod.com to start a cancellation.
Plans change. Sod is cut to order, so once a delivery is close, canceling is not quite as simple as canceling an order for a shelf item, but it is still straightforward if you call early enough.
The cancellation window
- You can cancel up to 72 hours before your scheduled delivery or appointment.
- Canceling carries a $100 processing fee.
- The fastest way to cancel is by phone at 1-866-886-2763, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Central. You can also email info@usasod.com.
How the refund works
Once a cancellation goes through, the refund is sent back to the same card or payment method you used at checkout. If you paid by phone or used a payment plan on an install order, mention that when you call so the team can match the refund to the right transaction.
Once sod has been delivered and accepted
The cancellation window above is for orders that have not gone out yet. Once sod is delivered and accepted, the order is final, with one exception: if the sod itself arrives in bad condition, that is a different process. See what if your sod arrives dead for how USA Sod handles that.
If you are still deciding on quantity or timing before you order, use the sod calculator to measure your yard, check your market for what is available near you, or start at usasod.com with your ZIP code. You can also read the full shipping and delivery policy or the FAQ for more on ordering and how you can pay for sod.
