Grass grown in a climate like yours establishes faster. A variety raised in the same heat, humidity and soil conditions it is about to live in does not have to adapt on arrival. Sod trucked in from a very different climate spends its first weeks adjusting instead of rooting.
It also keeps the sod fresh. The shorter the trip from field to lawn, the better the sod performs. Our goal is 24 hours from harvest to your driveway, and that is only achievable when the farm is genuinely regional.
Why your options depend on where you live
A consequence people do not expect: the varieties available to you are determined by your address.
What thrives in Houston is not what thrives in Sacramento. What handles a Florida summer is not what survives a Denver winter. Rather than presenting one national catalog and letting you pick something unsuitable, we show you what is actually available and appropriate for your region.
If you have been comparing grass types online and cannot find one of them locally, this is usually why. It is not that it is out of stock. It is that it does not belong in your climate.
Even pallet sizes vary by region
Here is a small detail that catches people out when they are comparing quotes.
A pallet of sod is not a standard unit nationwide. Most of our farms cut 450 square foot pallets. Florida farms typically cut 400. Some farms elsewhere run 500 or 600.
You do not need to track this. Once your ZIP code is in, your quote uses the pallet size on file for the farms serving your market, and where a market has farms that disagree we assume the smallest so your order cannot come up short. But it is worth knowing if you are comparing a price per pallet from two suppliers in different regions, because you may not be comparing the same amount of grass.

Do not stop there. There are two different situations behind that message, and only one of them is a real no.
If we deliver elsewhere in your state, your address may still be reachable. Nearby addresses just outside a delivery zone can often be served by routing through a neighboring market. Those orders are arranged over the phone rather than online, and the delivery charge is quoted for that specific trip. We will tell you what it costs before you commit to anything.
If we have no live market in your state yet, we genuinely cannot deliver right now, and we will say so rather than waste your time. We are expanding, and it is worth leaving your details.
