Sod delivery is a flat $200 on any order that includes sod, no matter which market you are in or how many pallets you order. It shows as its own line once you enter your ZIP code, so you see it before you pay. Because you are paying for one truck trip, ordering everything at once costs less per square foot. Addresses outside our delivery zones are the one exception, and those are handled by phone.
Delivery is usually the second line on a sod quote and the one people have the least intuition about. Here is the straight answer.

Not a range, not a formula, and not something that gets recalculated based on where you live. If your order contains sod and we deliver to your ZIP code, the delivery line is $200.
You see it before you pay. Delivery appears as its own line once you have entered your ZIP code and built your order. Nothing gets added quietly at checkout.
What does not change it
This is where most people expect a catch, so it is worth being specific. None of these move the figure:
- Which market you are in. Same charge in every market we serve.
- How far you are from the farm cutting your order. There is no mileage component.
- How many pallets you order. One pallet or six, the delivery line reads the same.
The thing worth knowing before you order
Because the charge is flat, delivery costs exactly the same whether the truck brings one pallet or several.
You are paying for a truck to make a trip, not for the weight of the grass. That has a practical consequence:
Order everything you need in one delivery. If you are thinking about doing the front yard now and the back in a month, doing both at once means paying $200 once instead of twice. On a small second order, delivery can easily cost more than the sod.
It is also why ordering five to ten percent over your measurement is worth it. Running short means a second $200 delivery for a handful of pieces, which is the most expensive sod you will ever buy.
The two cases where the line is not $200
An order with no sod in it. If you are buying topsoil, an installation, or an on-site measurement on its own, there is no sod delivery to charge for and the line does not appear.
An address outside our delivery zones. These cannot be ordered online at all. If your ZIP code comes back as not covered but we serve elsewhere in your state, your address can often still be reached, arranged over the phone with a delivery charge quoted for that specific trip. We will tell you what it costs before you commit to anything.

Can you avoid the delivery charge?
Not by picking it up. Sod is cut fresh against each order rather than held as inventory, so there is generally nothing sitting anywhere to collect, and a full pallet is heavy freight that a standard pickup truck is not rated to carry.
The realistic way to reduce what delivery costs you per square foot is to order everything in one trip rather than splitting a project across two deliveries.
