That usually means two to three short waterings per day, depending on temperature and sun exposure. Avoid walking on the sod during the establishment period. Once roots have set (around two to three weeks), reduce frequency but increase duration to encourage deep root growth. Wait until the sod is firmly rooted before the first mow, and never remove more than one-third of the blade height in a single cut.
