Terms and Conditions for USA Sod Sales

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By placing an order and accepting delivery or installation of sod, you agree to be bound by these terms.

  1. Nature of Sod and Customer Responsibility

Sod is a living organism that requires immediate and ongoing care from the customer to thrive. USA Sod is not responsible for the health or vitality of the sod once its representatives leave your premises. The customer assumes full responsibility for the care, watering, and maintenance of the sod immediately upon delivery or completion of installation.

  1. Post-Installation Vitality and Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of sod and the critical need for proper post-installation care, USA Sod is unable to guarantee the long term performance of sod delivered and/or installed. All sales are final and no refunds will be issued once the sod has been installed or delivered and accepted. Requests for returns and/or exchanges will not be accepted.

  1. Cancellations

Cancellations are permitted up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled delivery or appointment time. All cancellations will be subject to a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled time will not be accepted and the full purchase price may be charged.

  1. Acceptance of Product and Defective Material

Upon delivery, the customer has the right to refuse delivery or installation of defective product. Any issues regarding the quality or condition of the sod must be identified immediately upon delivery, prior to installation, and before USA Sod or its representatives leave the premises. Failure to inspect the sod and report defects at this time will constitute acceptance of the product in its delivered condition. If a valid defect is identified, USA Sod will make reasonable efforts to procure and deliver replacement product in a timely manner.

  1. Payment Terms

Any outstanding balances for your order will be processed immediately upon completion of the work (delivery or installation). By placing an order, you authorize USA Sod to charge the final outstanding balance to the payment method on file.

  1. Weather-Related Delays

In the event that adverse weather conditions prohibit the sod farm from cutting sod, USA Sod reserves the right to reschedule delivery up to one week from the originally scheduled date. USA Sod will notify you promptly of any such delays. If USA Sod is unable to deliver within this one-week grace period, the customer may cancel the order, subject to the $100 processing fee.
